Yes, Size Affects the Price

Size is one of the most obvious factors that will impact steel carport prices. The longer, wider, and taller it is, the more it will cost. The starting size for our carports is 12’x21’, but we can make a custom carport as big as you need it to be! In some locations, we can even make carports that are bigger than 70’x101’! Just let our building specialist know what you plan on using your carport for, and we can help you determine the best size for your budget.

A Carport for Every Need

There are carports for many different purposes. The style of carport you choose may affect its overall price. Here is a list of our most popular carport options:

1. Regular Roof Carports

Regular roof carports are classic and traditional. If you’re looking for an old-world charm, this is the style for you. Regular roofs have sloping sides that mimic the roof of a barn. Their paneling is horizontal and runs from the back of the structure to the front. This style is also the most budget-friendly option.

2. A-Frame Roof Carports

A-Frame roof carports are the best of both worlds. Like the regular roof carport, they have horizontal paneling. This makes them easier on your wallet. However, unlike the previous option, they have a peaked roof that matches the style of most homes. This added aesthetic appeal is great since most carports are near the front of the home.

3. A-Frame Vertical Carports

A-Frame Vertical roof carports are our bestselling option. It has a peaked roof like the A-frame carport, but it is made from vertical paneling instead of horizontal paneling. The paneling runs from the top of the structure to the bottom, making it ideal for areas that experience frequent severe weather or heavy precipitation.

4. Single Car Carports

Our single car carports are designed to comfortably house one car. They are durable and secure, and will still leave you lots of room for storage and moving around.

5. Two Car Carports

Two car carports are designed to comfortably house two vehicles with room to spare. However, you could choose to store only one car under it, giving you lots of space for other purposes.

6. Three Car Carports

The three car carports we offer can protect three vehicles with ease. There will be wiggle room left over with three cars parked under it, but you could have even more space if you choose to park only one or two vehicles under it instead.

7. RV Carports

Our RV carports are specially designed to house and protect RVs and motorhomes. These carports are extra tall, but they’re just as strong and durable as all of our other metal buildings.

8. Boat Carports

Our boat carports are designed to sit over peers or boat docking stations. They are meant to protect your boat from Mother Nature’s extremes. These structures are just as reliable as traditional carports.

9. Utility Carports

Utility carports are unique structures that solve two problems at once. They give you an area to house your vehicles, while also providing you with extra storage space for your stuff. They’re the perfect mix of a carport and a garage!

Add-On Customizations

Customization factors are what will affect the price of your new metal carport the most. In fact, metal carport prices are almost entirely dependent on the extent of customization. Some of the factors that will affect the pricing most are the roof style, the addition of gables, the gauge of the framing, the location, the manufacturer, and the building’s certifications.

Roofing

We offer three roofing styles: Regular, A-Frame Horizontal, and Vertical. The regular roof has sloping sides and is the most budget-friendly, while the vertical roof has vertical paneling and is our best option. The A-frame horizontal roof is the perfect mix of the two. The roof style that you choose will affect the price of your building, as they come at three different price points.

Gables

Choosing to add a gable to the roof of your new carport will raise prefab carport prices and metal carport kit prices. Gables provide added protection against the harsh elements that could harm whatever you store underneath. Specifically, they help prevent damage caused by precipitation.

12 or 14 gauge steel framing

Prefab metal carport prices are affected by the gauge of the steel framing you choose. The standard gauge is 14. This framing is strong and secure and is the industry standard. However, you can opt for 12-gauge framing, which is thicker and even more durable than the standard option. Doing so will raise the price of your structure.

Location

Your specific installation location may also affect your price. If your site is not well prepared—if it’s unlevel or not cleared of debris—our installation team will charge extra. It creates much more work for them. If your site is extremely unlevel, they will have to leave and reschedule your installation after the site has been leveled. You will have to pay for both trips.

Manufacturer

We work with several manufacturers across the country to provide you with the best quality carports possible. This also impacts our prefab carport prices. The manufacturer we use in your location may have a higher or lower manufacturing price than our estimates. This is an important thing to keep in mind.

Certifications

All of our metal carports are designed to withstand the elements, but you can ensure that your carport will stand strong no matter what Mother Nature throws at it by getting it certified. We specifically offer certifications concerning wind speeds and snow loads it can withstand. Please call our building specialists at (insert phone number here) to find out more.
